1. What BOOK.NOW is

BOOK.NOW is a platform that lets customers book appointments and tables with independent local businesses. BOOK.NOW is not the business that provides the service. Each booking is an arrangement between the customer and the business.

2. For customers

• Give a correct name and phone number so the shop can reach you.
• Prices, services and opening hours are set by each shop. We work to keep them accurate but the shop is responsible for them.
• You pay the shop directly, by EFT or cash. BOOK.NOW does not receive or hold your payment. Use the unique payment reference shown on your booking.
• You can cancel or change a booking until 2 hours before your appointment using the “Manage booking” page. Refunds of money you already paid are agreed between you and the shop.
• Please arrive on time. A shop may give your place to someone else if you do not arrive.

3. For business owners (partners)

• You must have the right to run the business you list and give accurate details, prices, photos and bank details.
• Fees: a once-off start fee of R99, then R299 per 30-day period. BOOK.NOW charges no commission on your bookings. Fees are paid in advance by EFT with your unique reference and proof of payment. BOOK.NOW may occasionally offer a free period at its own discretion.
• Your shop goes live after we confirm payment. If a subscription is not renewed, your shop is hidden until you pay again.
• You must honour confirmed bookings, treat customers fairly, and handle customer information only to serve their bookings.
• You are responsible for your own taxes, licences and legal compliance, and for any refunds to your customers.
• BOOK.NOW may remove or suspend a shop that gives false information, treats customers unfairly or abuses the platform.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the platform: no false bookings, no attempts to break into accounts or data, no harassment, and no uploading of unlawful or harmful content.

5. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep BOOK.NOW running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features, prices and these terms. Partners will be told about important changes in the partner portal.

6. Our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, BOOK.NOW is not liable for the quality of services provided by businesses, for missed or late appointments, or for losses that result from a business or customer not keeping to a booking. Nothing here limits any rights you have under South African law that cannot be limited, including the Consumer Protection Act.
